Samsung unveils its latest Galaxy S11 series tablets—the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy S11 Ultra—at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, along with an 8400 mAh battery for the S11 and 11,600mAh for the S11 Ultra. The company had already signalled its plans to launch the tablets, saying “premium AI tablets” will be the cornerstone of the Galaxy event on September 4. The event saw other devices launch too, like the Galaxy S25 FE smartphone.

However, many tech enthusiasts and Samsung lovers were eagerly awaiting the launch of the tablets so here is everything you need to know about the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S11 tablets.

Samsung Galaxy S11 and S11 Ultra Display

The Samsung Galaxy S11 offers an 11-inch display for the S11, while the S11 Ultra has a 14.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits of brightness. The display supports Vision Booster and has IP68 dust and water resistance protection. Moreover, the devices have an 83 and 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio, much higher than the previous generation.

Galaxy S11 and S11 Ultra, under the hood, are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+. The chipset we have seen in the previous year’s flagship smartphones. MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ will be paired with the 12GB RAM, and storage options will range from 128GB all the way up to 1TB in the Galaxy S11 Ultra. The chipset is a processor based on the latest 3nm fabrication technology from TSMC, that provides better thermals and performance optimisation.

The 128GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 comes with UFS 4.0 storage, while the 256GB and 512GB options also support UFS 4.0 of onboard storage. It ships with Android 16-based One UI 8. It will receive seven years of OS and security updates. The handset comes with six months of free Google AI Pro. It is equipped with Google’s Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and other AI features as well.

In the camera department, both the Samsung Galaxy S11 tablets come with a 13MP primary camera; however, the S11 Ultra ships with an additional 8MP ultra-wide sensor. In the selfie camera, both devices have a 12MP selfie sensor. The cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps. The phone also carries a 12-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies and video calls. It supports AI-backed editing tools like Generative Edit.

The Samsung Galaxy S11 is backed by an 8,400mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. Similarly is the case for S11 Ultra in terms of charging; however, it comes with a 11,600mAh battery. It features a 10 per cent larger vapour chamber cooling system over the Galaxy S10 series. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The tablets comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It measures 5.1mm in thickness, while the S11 Ultra comes with 5.4mm thickness, and the S11 weighs 492g, while the S11 Ultra weighs 692gm.

Samsung Galaxy S11 and S11 Ultra pricing starts at Rs. 76,000 for the 12GB and 128GB variant(Wi-fi Only). Meanwhile, the S11 Ultra is Rs. 1,06,600 for the 12GB + 256GB variant Wi-fi Only. The tablets comes in Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy colourways. It is available for purchase in India via the company’s website. The device will also be available soon on e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon.
