The most anticipated upcoming lineup is nothing but the Samsung Galaxy S24 series; expected to launch early next year. Amid the ongoing rumours and tips, the Qualcomm boss has confirmed that the Galaxy S24 series will feature both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon during an earnings report conference call, confirmed that Qualcomm will have the majority market share of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series. While Qualcomm’s chief executive officer didn’t mention Exynos even once, however, the term “majority” hints enough that there will be Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy S24 handsets, too, depending on the market, of course.

The back story to this move is that, for a long time, the Samsung Galaxy flagship S series came into two variants— both Snapdragon and Exynos. However, this tradition took a turn in 2023 with the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, and we thought it was a change and a change for good. But Samsung wants to push its Exynos chip into competition. FYI, the South Korean tech giant owns a semiconductor manufacturing known as Samsung Foundry, and the plans tell that it will yet again help Google with Tensor chipsets.

Samsung’s decision to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets in the majority of Galaxy S24 Ultra units makes sense, given that it is the highest-grossing S series phone and that reports indicate that the North American S24 units will also be Snapdragon-powered. The same reports claim that only the Korean and European Galaxy S24 and S24+ models will feature the Exynos 2400 chipset.

Samsung’s teaser of the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace technology, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, is further confirmation that the Ultra will be Snapdragon-only.
