The iPhone 16 has recently made headlines for its sleek design, featuring remarkably slim bezels and an expansive display. As Apple continues to innovate with its flagship device, competition is heating up in the smartphone market. Oppo’s upcoming Find X8 series, expected to launch in China next month, appears ready to take on Apple with impressive specifications and a modern design.
Recent leaks and rumours indicate that the Oppo Find X8 will come with a “Quick Button,” similar to the functionality of the iPhone 16’s new Capture Button. However, another major area where the upcoming Find X8 could beat Apple is the bezels in the phone.
Prominent leakster IceUniverse has suggested that the Find X8 will boast 1.45mm bezels, making it one of the devices with the thinnest bezels on the market upon its release. An image shared by Pete Lau, OnePlus founder and Oppo’s Chief Product Officer, further emphasizes this comparison. In the image, the Find X8 is shown alongside the iPhone 16 Pro, highlighting how Oppo’s device maintains equally slim, if not slimmer, bezels compared to Apple’s flagship.
In addition to its sleek design, the Find X8 is rumoured to come equipped with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display featuring FHD+ resolution and a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The phone is said to be powered by the MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 chipset. The camera set up may include a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 3x periscope zoom camera. The phone could be powered by a 5,600 mAh battery with100W wired charging capability.
With these features, the Oppo Find X8 is poised to compete fiercely with the premium phones launched lately.
