The OnePlus 15 is all set to initiate the next wave of premium high-end Android smartphones for the year 2026. Teased at a recent Qualcomm event in Hawaii, the OnePlus 15 seems to have taken the concept of an Android value flagship in a different direction – a completely new design, a brand new chip, and potentially more AI features inside.

Although an official confirmation remains pending, sources indicate that the device could debut in China as early as November 13. As a result, the brand could prepone its usual launch timeline in India, potentially eyeing a launch by December 2025. This could make it one of the first few brands to come with Qualcomm’s next-gen mobile chipset.

Other than the chipset, the OnePlus 15 seems to be all about performance, as usual. When launched in India, it could go up against the likes of the Apple iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, and the Google Pixel 10 series.

Hence, here’s a quick look at everything we know about the OnePlus 15.

OnePlus 15 leaked specs at a glance

The OnePlus 15 will be the torchbearer for Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 chipset – the latest generation 3nm chip that promises a notable boost in overall processing performance. This chip is expected to be paired with great memory configurations, including up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, providing speed and capacity for multitasking and media. The device may also incorporate the Wind Chi Game Kernel 2.0, promising enhanced gaming sessions.

The OnePlus 15’s display technology is set for a major upgrade, as leaks point to a massive 6.78-inch BOE X3 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel. Crucially, the display is rumoured to boast an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals and seamless scrolling.

The battery life is also expected to get a major boost. The OnePlus 15 is tipped to house a huge 7,300 mAh battery, exceeding the capacity found in most contemporary flagship phones. To match a battery of this capacity, charging speeds are also expected to be faster, featuring 120W wired charging support. OnePlus could also offer support for a proprietary 50W wireless charging solution.

As far as the design is concerned, the teaser at the Qualcomm event has confirmed a design inspired by the OnePlus 13s, flaunting a squarish camera protrusion for the triple lens setup. The camera hump itself is likely to consist of three 50MP sensors — a main lens, an ultrawide, and a dedicated telephoto lens. Nothing changes for the front design, which is said to get narrow bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

OnePlus 15 India launch timeline and price

As for market availability, the OnePlus 15’s India launch is currently unconfirmed. However, with a Chinese launch scheduled for early November, there is a possibility of OnePlus hosting a global launch event in December 2025 in a bid to get a lead on Samsung’s rumoured Galaxy S26 series.

As usual, the OnePlus 15 is expected to enter the premium segment with an estimated price range between Rs 70,000 and Rs 75,000, thus offering slightly better value than Apple’s pricier iPhone 17.
