The OnePlus 13 is set to launch sooner than expected, according to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station. Reports suggest that the OnePlus 13 could be officially unveiled by the end of October or early November 2024, making it one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. This chip is expected to debut at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii in early October.

OnePlus 13 launch timeline tipped

While OnePlus has yet to confirm these details, rumours are already circulating about the phone’s seemingly impressive specifications. The OnePlus 13 is expected to have a 6.8-inch 1,440p 8T LTPO display. Powering the device will be a massive 6,000 mAh battery, capable of 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The OnePlus 13 is tipped to come with a triple camera setup on the rear. This setup is rumoured to include a 50MP primary sensor (Sony LYT808, same as the OnePlus 12), a 50MP ultrawide lens (Sony IMX882), and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX882) with 3x optical zoom. The Hasselblad tuning should be back.

Additionally, the OnePlus 13 is expected to come with an IP68 or IP69 rating, providing significant protection against water and dust.

OnePlus is also expected to give the OnePlus 13 a much needed design makeover. In our review of the OnePlus 12, we called it the OnePlus 11 Pro. Design was one reason but the phone was also a gradual refinement, one that didn’t change specs just for change’s sake. For those who were disappointed, the OnePlus 13 is shaping to be a prolific flagship. Stay tuned for more updates.
