Days after the Ray-Ban Meta smartglasses were made widely available in the country, Oakley and Meta have now officially introduced their new category of performance AI glasses. Called the Oakley Meta HSTN, it combines Oakley’s signature athletic design with Meta’s generative AI and spatial computing capabilities. Unlike the Ray-Ban version, the Oakley smart glasses are designed for athletes and those constantly on the move.
As a result, the Oakley Meta HSTN costs more than the Ray-Ban Meta in India, with prices starting at Rs 41,800. The device is now available for pre-orders and will hit the retail store shelves on December 1, 2025.

The Oakley Meta HSTN glasses are packed with features designed for hands-free, on-the-go utility. The key hardware upgrades include an integrated camera capable of capturing Ultra HD 3K resolution video, open-ear speakers for better audio, and an IPX4 water resistance rating to withstand sweat and moisture. Users also benefit from enhanced battery stamina, offering up to 8 hours of typical use and an additional 48 hours via the portable charging case, which is considerably more than the Ray-Ban Meta.
The Oakley Meta HSTN brings localised AI capabilities to the Indian market. The integrated Meta AI assistant now supports full Hindi language interaction, allowing users to manage media, take calls, and capture video footage or take photos using voice commands in their preferred language.
On-board AI will sound like Deepika Padukone
What’s new for India, though, is the presence of a Bollywood celebrity AI voice, featuring Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone. The AI will use Padukone’s voice in Indian English, as part of Meta AI’s global lineup of recognisable voices. The system is also being prepared for the upcoming integration of UPI Lite payments.
For health and fitness enthusiasts, the Oakley Meta HSTN also supports seamless fitness integration with apps like Strava and Garmin, allowing athletes to track performance in real-time without breaking focus.
