Reliance Jio has introduced a new promotional offer aimed at cricket fans for the upcoming 2025 season. Announced on March 17, this offer is available to both existing and new Jio SIM users, providing access to premium services at no extra cost. The offer runs from March 17 to March 31, 2025.

90-day free JioHotstar subscription in 4K

A key highlight of the offer is a 90-day complimentary JioHotstar subscription, accessible on TVs and mobiles with 4K resolution support. Starting March 22, coinciding with the cricket season’s first match, this feature allows users with plans of Rs 299 or higher to stream every game in high definition.

50-day JioFiber and AirFiber trial for homes

The offer also includes a 50-day free trial of JioFiber and AirFiber broadband services. This package delivers high-speed internet, over 800 TV channels, and subscriptions to more than 11 OTT platforms, alongside unlimited Wi-Fi. Targeting households, the trial aims to provide a reliable streaming experience for cricket fans, with AirFiber’s wireless technology extending coverage to areas without traditional broadband infrastructure.

How to activate the Jio Cricket Season Offer

Participation is straightforward. Existing Jio SIM users can recharge with a plan of Rs 299 or above (1.5GB/day or more) between March 17 and March 31, 2025. New users can opt for a Jio SIM with the same plan during this period. Customers who recharged prior to March 17 can add a Rs 100 pack to join. The JioHotstar subscription activates on March 22 and lasts 90 days, aligning with the cricket calendar.

This announcement follows Jio’s recent introduction of budget-friendly data packs tailored for cricket fans. A Rs 100 plan, launched earlier in March 2025, offers 5GB of high-speed data and a 90-day JioHotstar subscription, while a Rs 195 option provides 15GB of data with the same streaming perk. These data-only packs cater to users seeking affordable entertainment without voice or SMS benefits.

Jio’s latest move also aligns with its broader strategy to integrate telecom and digital entertainment. The company’s merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar into JioHotstar has positioned it as a leader in India’s OTT market, with recent milestones like 6.12 crore peak concurrent viewers during the Champions Trophy 2025 final.
