Jio AirFiber goes live: The wait is over. After a year of its first announcement, Jio AirFiber is now finally available in India. Reliance Jio has launched its wireless internet service dubbed Jio AirFiber today (Sep 19) on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Jio has initially launched the service initially in eight cities- Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. JioAirFiber provides an opportunity to TV or broadband users to upgrade to a world-class home entertainment, broadband and digital experience, delivered through one integrated service, says company.
“With JioAirFiber, we are expanding our addressable market to rapidly cover every home in our country with similar quality of service. JioAirFiber will enable millions of homes with world-class digital entertainment, smart home services and broadband, through its solutions across education, health, surveillance and smart home,” company chairman Anant Ambani said at the launch of JioAirFiber.

To get Jio AirFiber, you can start the process by reaching out to Jio through various channels. You can either give a missed call to 60008-60008 to initiate the booking process on WhatsApp, visit their official website at http://www.jio.com, or go to your nearest Jio Store. After reaching out, you’ll need to register for Jio AirFiber services, which can typically be done in a few simple steps. Once you’ve completed the registration, Jio will get in touch with you and prioritise connecting your home as soon as the services become available in your building. They will confirm the installation and activation, ensuring you can enjoy high-speed internet with Jio AirFiber at your convenience.
Jio has launched two plans for Jio AirFiber subscribers to select from- Jio AirFiber and Jio AirFiber Max. JioAirFiber Max will be available in select areas. Note that the existing JioFiber tariff plans remain unchanged. These plans are available in 6 and 12 month options. Jio has waived off Rs 1000 with 12 month plan. Long term plans are available with credit and debit card EMI.
