iPhone 16 is few months away but the rumours are on rise about the next year’s Apple’s flagship iPhone 17. An unconfirmed leak from industry insider Ice Universe has painted a speculative picture of the Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup in 2025.
The leak suggests significant changes, including the introduction of a new high-end “Slim” model and the potential expansion of ProMotion technology.
The most notable rumour is the discontinuation of the iPhone’s Plus line. In its place, Ice Universe claims Apple will introduce a “Slim” model positioned above the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This new phone is rumoured to feature a 6.65-inch display, slotting between the Pro and Pro Max in size, and carry a hefty price tag of $1,299, potentially becoming Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet.
Another major talking point is the rumoured adoption of LTPO displays across the entire iPhone 17 lineup. This would enable ProMotion technology for all models, allowing for smoother visuals with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Previously exclusive to Pro devices, ProMotion could be a significant upgrade for the standard iPhone 17.
The leak also suggests a spec bump for the iPhone 17 Pro variants. These models are rumoured to receive 12GB of memory, a powerful triple-lens rear camera system with 48-megapixel sensors, and the latest A19 Pro chip.
