Intel has launched its 14th Generation desktop processors, known as Raptor Lake Refresh, with the flagship Core i9-14900K offering a boost frequency of 6GHz.
Intel’s 14th Generation processors introduce a range of new processors, providing up to 24 cores and 32 threads. Perhaps most striking is the remarkable clock speed, reaching up to 6 GHz right out of the box. The flagship model, Intel Core i9-14900K, is touted as world’s fastest desktop processor, with a 6 GHz turbo frequency.
For gamers, this speed boost offers a competitive edge, while content creators will appreciate the Intel Core i7-14700K’s 20 cores and 28 threads, a result of four additional Efficient-cores (E-cores) compared to the previous generation, ensuring substantial performance improvements for multi-threaded workloads.
Intel’s Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) has introduced an AI Assist feature, enabling one-click AI-guided overclocking for select unlocked Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors. This feature promises to simplify overclocking while maintaining accessibility for users. The processors also support DDR5 XMP speeds exceeding 8,000 megatransfers/second (MT/S), further enhancing the overclocking experience.
The company claims that Intel Core 14th Gen processors deliver a 23% improvement in gaming performance compared to leading competitors.
