Samsung is set to launch its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series on January 22, and the company is already teasing some impressive AI upgrades. One of the most exciting features on the incoming Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, is a major update to the “Sketch to Image” tool, introduced last year.

The tool uses AI—more specifically the Galaxy AI—to convert sketches into images. Now, in its upgraded avatar possibly on One UI 7, Samsung is integrating it with Drawing Assist and adding “multimodal” capabilities to it which basically means that you will also be able to generate images using text prompts.

Samsung has even shared a few scenarios to hype up the value add, especially on the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra model, all but confirming the return of the S-Pen. Imagine sketching a cat with the stylus and then simply typing “astronaut” to transform it into a whacky space explorer. Or draw a basic house outline and add specific locations to see it reimagined in different settings.

Samsung goes as far as to claim that with the S25 series, “If it can be envisioned, Galaxy AI can create it,” hinting at a significant leap forward in mobile AI, though its exact reach and scale will be determined once we have the devices in hand and test them out.

The upgraded Sketch to Image tool will be part of One UI 7. Samsung is calling it its first integrated AI platform enabling devices like the S25 and S25 Ultra to understand natural language through text, voice, and images. As is the nature of these things, some of these features should trickle down to the soon-to-be-old S24 and other Galaxy devices.

In related news, the Galaxy S25 series can’t stop leaking left, right and centre, The latest leak comes—once again courtesy tipster Evan Blass—showing off what appear to be promotional marketing material for the S25 and S25 Ultra models re-confirming few things we know, are definitely incoming. The S25 (and very likely the S25 Plus) is set to come in a very fetching deep blue colour with individual camera lenses getting the shade, too, sort of like what Apple is doing on the iPhone 16. On the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the frame and cameras are getting the same shade, per the leak.

The chassis is flat with the S25 getting rounded corners. The S25 Ultra, too, has rounded corners but it’s considerably less pronounced. Another big takeaway is the impossibly thin—and symmetrical—bezels across the entire lineup.

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S25 series on January 22. Pre-reservations for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, are already live. Stay tuned for more updates.
