Indian messaging app Arattai has added a new polls feature to its platform. This update allows users to create polls inside group chats, making it easier for people to share opinions and make quick decisions. The new feature helps reduce long message chains and keeps conversations simple. Users can ask a question, add options, and group members can vote with just one tap.

Easier Decision-Making in Groups

Polls are especially useful in group chats where people often need to decide things like meeting times, plans, or choices. Instead of many replies, members can simply vote and see the result instantly.

This small update improves the overall chatting experience and makes group conversations more organised and clear.

More Updates Coming Soon

Arattai’s team has shared that this polls feature is only the beginning. According to Zoho cofounder Sridhar Vembu, bigger updates are planned for January. While the company has not shared details yet, users can expect more improvements in the coming weeks.

The focus, for now, is on improving features rather than promoting the app heavily. The company wants to make sure the app works smoothly before reaching more users.

Growing Indian Messaging App

Arattai was launched as an Indian alternative to popular global messaging apps. Over time, it has added basic features like messaging, voice calls, and video calls.

Like many new apps, Arattai is still trying to find its place in a market dominated by big players. However, regular updates show that the app is actively improving.

What to Expect Next?

With the new polls feature and more updates on the way, Arattai is working to make its app better for daily use. While it still has a long way to go, these changes show that the company is serious about building a strong and reliable messaging platform.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp Channels — the platform’s one-way broadcast tool for sharing updates from individuals and organisations — is set to receive a new upgrade. A report from WABetaInfo says WhatsApp is introducing a feature that will let channel administrators create quiz-style posts and share them with their followers.

Called Channel Quiz, the feature lets users take part in interactive questions within a channel by choosing from multiple options. Once an option is selected, users instantly see whether their answer is right or wrong. While the tool was earlier limited to a small group of users, WhatsApp now appears to be testing it more broadly through the latest beta builds on both Android and iOS.
