14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 processors launched, price starts at Rs 1,69,900: Details

Just when we believed Apple’s surprises were reserved for the following year, the Cupertino tech giant has presented a Halloween surprise. Apple just wrapped up its “Scary Fast” keynote event and we have several new products in the line: new M3-powered 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, M3-powered 24-inch iMac and M3 chips.

Apple hosted its “Scary Fast” event on October 30 at and early 5:30 am here in India. The MacBook Pros powered by M2 had released earlier this year, but Apple has brought a fresh lineup as a surprise.

14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro: Quick specs

The 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro comes in three variants: M3, M3 Pro, or M3 Max chips, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with M3 Pro or M3 Max chips.

The new MacBook Pros, particularly the M3 Max versions, can have up to 128 GB of unified memory. They feature a high-brightness 2K display with up to 1600 nits for HDR content, along with a notch housing a 1080p webcam.

They also introduce a new “Dynamic Caching” feature that enhances GPU performance by allocating hardware memory in real-time. These Macs are claimed to be 7.4 times faster than Intel Core i7-based MacBook Pros and 60 percent faster than the 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro.

14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro: Price, availability

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will be available to pre-order starting October 30 with the official sales starting November 7. The base variants of M3 14-inch MacBook Pro, M3 Pro 14-inch MacBook Pro, and M3 Pro 16-inch MacBook Pro are priced at Rs 1,69,900, 1,99,900 and 2,49,990, respectively.
