Maharashtra, Mumbai Lockdown 4.0 Guidelines Zone Wise for Coronavirus:  Maharashtra government has issued Lockdown 4.0 guidelines to check Coronavirus COVID 19. According to the Coronavirus Lockdown guidelines, e-commerce activity for essential as well as non-essential items and material have been permitted in red zones. All industrial units/construction sites are allowed to operate in the red zones. Sport complexes, stadia and other public open spaces will remain open for individual exercises in non-red zones; spectators and group activities are strictly not allowed. Intradistrict bus service with maximum 50 er cent capacity/bus has been allowed in non-red zones.

Earlier, state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has ruled out lifting the measures implemented to check the spread of highly contagious coronavirus. CM Thackeray has said that lifting of lockdown measures will result in the spreading of COVID 19 which he doesn’t want. He said he won’t let Maharashtra become Brazil, the US, and Italy. He has appealed to migrants to not walk on the roads. Meanwhile, religious festivals and congregations will not be allowed during the fourth phase of Lockdown, CM Uddhav Thackeray categorically said.

Total of five companies of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be deployed in zones 1,3,5,6 and 9 in Mumbai from today, Mumbai Police PRO was quoted as saying by ANI. These zone are — Zone 1-Colaba to Marine Drive, Zone3- Tardeo, Nagpada, Worli to NM Joshi Marg, Zone 5- Dharavi to Dadar, Zone 6- Chembur to Mankhurd and Zone 9- Bandra to Amboli (Andheri West).

Meanwhile, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a revised protocol for the sealing of buildings in Mumbai. As per the new guidelines, if there is a new coronavirus positive case in a society or building then the entire building needs not be sealed. Only that particular floor can be sealed as decided by BMC authority.

On Monday, an official of the state government was quoted by PTI as saying that Lockdown 4.0 will come into effect from today and will be valid till May 31. However, there will be some relaxations in the fourth phase. He said that the green and orange zones will get more relaxations, in terms of starting more services. As of now, only essential services are operational. Maharashtra had recorded 35058 COVID-19 cases and the death toll was 1249, while 8437 patients had been discharged after recovery, as per data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
