Navratri is finally here! During these nine-days, the festivities are in full swing. From garba and dandiya nights to Durga Puja pandal hopping, Navratri is all about devotion, colours, music, and dance. But besides dressing up in colourful outfits, you must prepare your skin to get those picture perfect ‘insta-worthy’ pictures during these nine days. So how should you prepare your skin to get that Korean glass like skin to shine and stand out during festivities? We got in touch with an expert who shares a simple day-wise guide to glow during Navratri celebrations.

“Navratri is a great time to try new looks and have fun with makeup,” says Muskan Jain, Brand Manager at MARS Cosmetics. “You can match your makeup with the colour of the day and still keep your skin healthy and glowing,” she further added. This simple guide shows how you can try different festive looks while keeping your skin healthy.

Day 1 – White

Start with soft, fresh makeup. Use a hydrating primer and a light, glowing foundation. Choose nude lips and add a pearl or champagne highlighter on your cheeks and eyelids. Jain says, “White is all about calm and elegance.

Day 2 – Red

A long-lasting foundation with a touch of bronzer keeps your skin fresh, while bright red lips make a statement. Keep the eyes simple with soft shimmer or liner. “Red lips are perfect for making a classy, glamorous look,” adds Jain.

Day 3 – Royal Blue

Add blue eyeliner or shimmer to the eyelids for a regal touch. Pair with nude or peach lips and finish with a setting spray to make the makeup last through dance and celebrations.

Day 4 – Yellow

Use a golden highlighter with a glowy foundation to make your skin shine. Soft nude lips keep the look balanced. Jain advises, “Let your natural glow shine, don’t overdo the makeup.”

Day 5 – Green

Add some sparkle with a metallic green eyeshadow or a soft kohl liner. Keep your lips in gentle, neutral shades so your eyes really pop and become the star of your look. It’s an easy way to look fun, stylish, and ready for all the Navratri celebrations without overdoing it.

Day 6 – Grey

Grey is perfect if you want a modern, chic vibe. Go for smoky eyes with soft matte lip shade. To add that elegant look, add a little highlighter on the high points of your face.

Day 7 – Orange

Orange is lively and fun. Use a light foundation, coral blush, and an orange lip tint or gloss for a fresh, youthful glow. Jain says, “Orange works well for energetic, daytime celebrations.”

Day 8 – Peacock Green

Go glam with glitter eyeshadow or metallic eyeliner. Pair with glossy lips and radiant skin. Use a strobing highlighter and setting spray for a long-lasting shine.

Day 9 – Pink

Pink being the colour of day nine, you may go for rosy cheeks, shimmering eyes, and light pink lips. Jain shares, “Pink is gentle and perfect for a subtle, feminine look after eight nights of bold colours.”
