India’s latest billionaire, Shrikant Badve, has worked with Sachin Tendulkar and Madhuri Dixit

Shrikant Badve is the newest joinee in India’s billionaire club taking Belrise Industries’ valuation to Rs 9550 crore.

The latest addition to India’s billionaire club is Belrise Industries founder-director, Shrikant Badve. After closing at a record high trading session on Tuesday, the entrepreneur’s firm has reached a valuation of Rs 9,550 crore with Badve’s 59.59% stake.

Known for his entrepreneurial journey, Badve holds several global accolades, including a prestigious training at IIM Ahmedabad. He is also on the Board of Governors at IIM Jammu, and serves Economic Advisory Council to the Government of Maharashtra. Notably, Badve has also worked with Sachin Tendulkar and Madhuri Dixit. They are all prominent ambassadors of the flagship Magnetic Maharashtra initiative.

Who is Shrikant Badve?

Shrikant Badve is a first-generation billionaire and has employed over 8000 people under his 17 nationwide manufacturing units. With a turnover that exceeds Rs 7000 crore, his company produces components for private and commercial vehicles and white goods.

Badve has also been conferred with several honours at the national and international levels. He has been recognised by the Government of India for his leadership, along with other institutes like the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance and the Army Institute of Technology.

Among the several celebrated personalities of the Magnetic Maharashtra campaign, India’s newest billionaire is a co-ambassador alongside them. The state initiative introduced the star cricketer as a significant figure. He was also named the “Smile Ambassador” in several health campaigns and public welfare initiatives.

Madhuri Dixit has been at the forefront of the ‘Make in India’ campaign and promoted Maharashtra as a prime destination for investment. Since Maharashtra became the biggest hub for millionaires in India, the Bollywood actor became a cultural icon and brought a positive brand image to the campaign.
