Holding A comic book in your hands is one thing, but being a part of an entire universe of comic characters, supervillains and superheroes is something completely different. The 2016 edition of the Delhi Comic Con provides that ‘different’ experience.
When we visited, every corner of the annual Comic Con brought out a new dimension of comics and pop culture. This year, it’s much more than gaming, movies, TV, merchandise or toys. Fans also have the chance to indulge in experiential and interactive zones. One such area is the ‘AXN’ zone.
When we visited, the zone was brimming with enthusiasts, taking part in games and competitions based on famous TV shows. If you have ever dreamed of imitating your favourite wrestler or coming face-to-face with the stormtroopers of Star Wars, you can’t afford to miss the experience zones based on the World Wrestling Entertainment and Star Wars universe.
Visitors also have the chance to meet Tom Richmond, caricaturist, cartoonist and humorous illustrator for American humour magazine Mad, Cartoon Network and National Geographic; Joe Harris, author of X-Files Comics; and Nicolas Wild, French writer, illustrator and author of the critically-acclaimed novel Kabul Disco.
Delhi Comic Con is on till today (11am-8pm) at NSIC Exhibition Ground, Okhla, New Delhi
