Morris Garages (MG) has quickly established itself as a familiar name among Indian car buyers, especially with the rise of its electric models like the MG Windsor and Comet. The brand made its India debut in 2019 with the Hector SUV, and since then, the Hector has built a solid reputation. Its appeal lies in several features, including a panoramic sunroof, iSMART connected tech, built-in eSIM, OTA support, AI-based voice commands, a large vertically oriented touchscreen, remote vehicle functions, more than 25 safety features, Level-2 ADAS capabilities, and versatile engine choices.

Now, the 2025 MG Hector is set come with a series of thoughtful technology enhancements aimed at elevating in-cabin convenience, responsiveness and overall user experience. The updated Hector is expected to feature refreshed styling and added equipment.

“The infotainment system now features RAM with up to 10 GB space, delivering smoother, faster and seamless operation across all functions,” Manish Manek, Chief VLE and Head PE, JSW MG Motor India told financial express.

The New Hector also debuts advanced multi-touch gesture controls, offering a more intuitive and distraction-free way to interact with key features:

Two-finger AC controls
Swipe up/down to increase or decrease AC temperature
Swipe left/right to increase or reduce fan speed
Three-finger music controls
Swipe up/down to adjust volume
Swipe left/right to switch to the previous or next track

“For passengers, these enhancements bring smartphone-like simplicity to cabin interactions, allowing them to stay effortlessly connected with the world around them. The combined upgrades make the New Hector’s infotainment experience smarter, more seamless, and truer to MG’s tech-forward DNA, reinforcing its position as one of India’s most connected SUV’s,” Manek noted.
