According to Cointelegraph, the perpetrator behind the robocall featuring  Joe Biden, president, United States, voice instructing citizens in New Hampshire not to vote on January 23, 2024,  was Life Corporation and someone named Walter Monk.

With insights from the New Hampshire Department of Justice, John Formella , Attorney General, mentioned that the AG’s Office Election Law Unit identified the source as Life Corporation, a Texas-based firm and Walter Monk.

Sources revealed that the automated messages were generated by artificial intelligence (AI) and deepfake to meddle in the 2024 presidential election. The state attorney general’s office is believed to have labeled the robocalls as misinformation. It also advised New Hampshire voters to ignore the message, added Cointelegraph.

Furthermore, on January 31, 2024, Jessica Rosenworcel, chairwoman, FCC, proposed considering calls featuring AI-generated voices as illegal. This is believed to be subject to the regulations and penalties outlined in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, concluded Cointelegraph.
