Xiaomi is set to make its entry to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 that will officially begin on February 26 in Barcelona. Rumours suggest that the Chinese company could launch its next flagship Mi 7 at the event. While Xiaomi is yet to confirm whether it will unveil the Mi 7 or just be there to reintroduce some existing smartphone, a newly leaked render has surfaced over the Internet that reveals the design of the device. In addition, the rumoured specifications of Xiaomi Mi 7 have also been leaked.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 has been leaked in a render on Weibo that shows the rear side of the device, spotted by a Nigerian website Naijatechguide. The Mi 7 can be seen sporting a glass panel on the back, which hints at the possibility of wireless charging in the device. If this is anything to believe, the Mi 7 will be the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with wireless charging. Furthermore, the render shows a horizontal dual camera setup alignment at the top left corner, along with a dual-LED flash module. Below the camera island, there is a circular fingerprint sensor at an approximate centre of the rear side. This suggests that the Mi 7 is unlikely to bear an in-display fingerprint scanner, similar to the speculated Vivo X20 Plus UD.

Previous reports speculated that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will sport a bezel-less 6.01-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, as CEO Lei Jun announced last year in December at the Qualcomm’s launch event. The processor will be paired with either 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage or 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage, or both. The smartphone is also said to pack a 3950mAh battery under the hood. The cameras on the device will consist two 19-megapixel shooters at the back with a f/1.7 aperture and 4X optical zoom while there will be a 16-megapixel camera at the front.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be equipped with artificial intelligence features, similar to what we’ve seen in Honor View 10. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is said to power the internals of Xiaomi Mi 7, is designed to offer high-standard AI capabilities to the smartphones.
