Korean tech giant LG has just announced the release of the new LG Q8 smartphone shortly after introducing the Q-series. The smartphone was launched at an event in Italy.The new phone is a mini variant of the LG V20 but with a smaller screen. A key feature of the new phone is that it features a secondary screen.
LG has launched the new phone with all the hall mark features of the LG G6 but plans to have a more affordable price tag. LG has not given a release date for the phone and has not stated whether the phone will be sold only in Italy or globally. -
The new LG phone has a 5.2-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) IPS LCD display, the display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The display has a pixel density of 554 ppi. The smartphone, as mentioned earlier has a secondary screen which has a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. The Q8 series is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat and LG UX 5.0. Last year, LG's g6 had been the first phone which was sold with Android 7.0 Nougat.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and has 4 GB RAM. The phone has an inbuilt storage capacity of 32 GB and features a slot for an expandable memory slot.

The phone comes with a dual camera setup at the back. The main camera boasts of a 13-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and the second rear camera has a 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture.The phone has a 3000 mAh battery and a Type-C USB charger.
