Padmavati release date: Looks like the Padmavati controversy has not only affected its own release date but has brought in a cloud of changes in the release date of other films as well. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated film had to endure backlash in the political landscape on the pretext of distorted history, the producers deferred the release date to a later time. But the delay of Padmavati has unsettled other filmmakers who had scheduled their film release to dates adjacent to Padmavati's release. Padmavati, which was scheduled for a December 1 release, will now tentatively hit the screens in 2018. Some films which have been affected by the Padmavati storm are:
Firangi: <br /><br /> Firangi starring Kapil Sharma was scheduled for a November 24 release. The makers have now shifted the release date to December 1, the day Padmavati was set to hit the screen. However, it is also being said that December 8 is what has been targetted. The film set in the 1920's is an action-comedy directed by Rajie Dhingra. The movie will also star Monica Gill and Ishita Dutta. The film has been produced under Kapil Sharma's banner and will also mark his second film after Kis Kis ko Pyar Karoo. (Twitter) 
Fukrey Returns: <br /><br /> Fukrey Returns was scheduled for 15th December release this year. But now the star studded film will release on December 8 instead. The release date has been confirmed by Bollywood trade anlyst Taran Adarsh. Adarsh tweeted about the shift saying, '' #FukreyReturns to release on the original release date: 8 Dec 2017… Check out its new poster… It’s wacky…'' The film is a sequel to 2013 film which starred Ali Faizal, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha and Varun Sharma. 
Tera Intezar: <br /><br /> The film stars Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan in lead roles and is a story which narrates ordeals of a woman who is in search of true love. The movie was supposed to be released on November 24 but now the film hits the screen on December 1. 
Monsoon Shootout: <br /><br /> The movie has been getting delayed for the past 3 years and now, it was scheduled for December 8 release. The movie was first planned to be released on December 15 but then the makers changed its date. In the film we see Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing a grey shade character who takes to crime to get his job done.
