The first month of 2018 promises big releases as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-awaited "Padmavat" and Akshay Kumar starrer "Padman" will release on January 25. But Bollywood fans will be treated before these mega releases to three other movies- "Mukkabaaz", "Kaalakaandi' and "1921", which will hit the silver screens on January 12. It can be said that these three upcoming movies will relate to a niche audience in different genres. According to Bollywood Hungama, the opening day Box office collections for Mukkabaaz will be in Rs 1-2 crore range, for 1921 it could be little more at between Rs 2-3 crore and Kaalakaandi could surprise within a range of Rs 3-4 crore. "Mukkabaaz" which is a love story of a boxer has big names like Anurag Kashyap and Aanand L. Rai associated with it. Kaalakaandi is a black comedy starring Saif Ali Khan. 1921 is a horror movie from Vikram Bhatt, which is built on the success of 1920 released in 2008. -
Inspite of good reviews, the film is witnessing a very cold response from the public and it is quite evident that the word of mouth publicity has done nothing for the film.
