
On 11 December 2014, United Nations General Assembly unanimously reffered 21st June as International Yoga Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had proposed the date as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Yoga Fever has gripped not just the entire nation, even strong participation can be seen across the globe. As per a previous report by PTI, days ahead of the event that celebrates the importance of yoga in our lives, heads of missions of countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba and Mexico have actively participated in yoga sessions conducted here.
