Several people were feared dead and many others injured in a stampede early Wednesday as tens of thousands of Hindus rushed to take ritual baths in the sacred rivers during the massive Maha Kumbh festival in India. Policemen assisted the injured while others worked to control the crowd and prevent further tragedies.
