What is a Smart City: On the day the The Narendra Modi government announced the names of 13 more cities that will be developed under the 'Smart City Mission', it is important to know what makes a smart city – the new list consists of 13 cities including Lucknow, Warangal (Telangana), Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh), Chandigarh, Raipur (Chhatisgarh), New Town Kolkata (West Bengal), Bhagalpur (Bihar), Panaji (Goa), Port Blair (Andaman and Nicobar Islands), Imphal (Manipur), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Agartala (Tripura) and Faridabad (Harayana).
