"The protest over the 7th Pay Commission on pay scale had been organised under the banner of All India Railway Engineers Federation (AIREF) at all zonal and divisional offices in country and a memorandum addressed to the Railway Minister and the Railway Board Chairman was submitted," the national organisation secretary of AIREF V K Badgaiya said. Another 7th Pay Commission pay scale related demand raised by the Indian Railways employees is for raising grade pay. Badgaiya's said, "We have also demanded Rs 5,400 grade pay to JE and Rs 6,600 to SSE," he said. (AP)
