KUV100 vs Swift vs Grand i10 – Pricing Out of the three cars, Mahindra's mini SUV is the most competitively priced between Rs 4.45 lakh – Rs 6.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Maruti Suzuki Swift, the country's second best-selling hatchback, is priced in the range of Rs 4.67 lakh – Rs 7.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Hyundai Grand i10's entry-level variant is the most expensive out of the three vehicles at Rs 4.69 lakh, though the top-end variant is the most competitive of the three at Rs 6.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Mahindra KUV100 vs Hyundai Grand i10 vs Maruti Swift – Engine Specifications Mahindra's mini SUV features a 1.2-litre mFALCON G80 petrol that is claimed to produce 82bhp and 115Nm. The diesel version, powered by a 1.2-litre mFALCON D75, churns out 77bhp and 190Nm. The Swift's 1.2-litre VVT petrol-engined model churns out 83.11bhp and 115Nm, while the 1.3-litre DDiS engine-powered version is good for 74bhp and 190Nm. The Hyundai Grand i10's 1.2-litre Kappa petrol-engined model develops 82bhp and 114Nm, the 1.1-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine belts out 70bhp and 160Nm. On paper, the Swift's petrol model is slightly more powerful than the gasoline-engined versions of the other two. Whereas, the KUV100's diesel model has an upper hand over the diesel models of both of its rivals. The Hyundai Grand i10's diesel engine is the least powerful of the three here.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno appears to have hit Maruti Suzuki Swift, sales of which have settled at around 14,000 units compared with 18,000 units a month before the launch of Baleno. The Maruti management said in March this year the risk of the Baleno cannibalising sales of the Swift was minimal given that it is the top-end variant of the Baleno that is more in demand. The KUV100, however, has more width and height than the Swift and the Grand i10. Shocking it may sound to many, but the KUV100's ground clearance too is equal to the Swift at 170mm. Mahindra KUV 100 vs Maruti Swift vs Hyundai Grand i10 – Seating capacity Despite having the smallest wheelbase of the three vehicles, the KUV100 has been packaged so well that it can accommodate 6 adults comfortably. The flexi seat given at the front can turn into an armrest or a seat as an when required. To offer enough space for the middle passenger at the front, the company has placed the gearbox on the dashboard. Other two vehicles accommodate 5 passengers, the Grand i10's rear-seat, however, can be a little congested if one of the occupants is a little healthy.
