Pulwama terror attack: In the worst-ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama district. The blast was followed by gunshots by terrorists at around 3.15 pm on Thursday evening.
Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) took responsibility for the terror attack in Pulwama in south Kashmir.

Over 40 CRPF personnel were martyred and several injured in the Thursday attack in Kashmir. (ANI)
The 78-vehicle convoy was carrying 2,547 security personnel who were moving from the transit camp in Jammu to Srinagar. -
Till last year, Adil Ahmad Dar (20), a resident of Gundibagh village in Pulwama district of South Kashmir, used to work in a sawmill, reported the Indian Express.
On Thursday, the Jaish-e-Mohammad named him as the suicide bomber behind the attack on the CRPF convoy. Adil dropped out of Class XII and started to work at a sawmill owned by a neighbour. In March last year, he left his family and joined militancy in the Valley. His father, Ghulam Hassan Dar, is a small-time vendor. -
