Normal life came to a standstill in many cities and states on Monday during an opposition-sponsored 'Bharat Bandh' against the hike in fuel prices. Educational institutes were shut and vehicles were off the roads during the protest which was largely peaceful, barring some incidents of violence. Various opposition parties staged protests in multiple ways, unique in their own way.
