Mumbai received heavy downpour throughout the night on Monday which continued till Tuesday, suspending services of many suburban trains of the Western Railways. The road and rail traffic were hit due to 200 mm rainfall that was recorded in the city, giving commuters a tough time. Many trains were cancelled and delayed owing to water logging on railway tracks. However, the local train services of the Central Railway were not affected despite the heavy rainfall.
