-   The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand received a fresh bout of snow today, while sporadic rains exacerbated cold conditions in the plains. According to agriculture experts, light rain is considered good for crops at this stage. The cold wave intensified further in Jammu and Kashmir as the gap between the maximum and minimum temperatures narrowed down both in Jammu and Srinagar city. Fog caused travel disruptions in some parts of the plains, where temperatures dipped due to overcast skies. Let us take a look at images of snowfall from Shimla and Kashmir valley:
