It’s going to be a mega-Monday for everyone who loves phones, especially launch of new ones and finding out whether the new handsets fit their particular bill – in terms of specs and features, battery and especially price. Well, get set for this. Market favourite Xiaomi will unveil its Redmi Note 5A in China tomorrow. Gizbot quoting TENAA indicated the smartphone will be launched in two variants. The high-end model is expected to be dubbed Redmi Note 5A Pro or Prime. The report added, the company’s CEO has confirmed that the top-end model will feature a 16 MP front camera along with a selfie flash.
According to Gizbot report, Redmi Note 5A will come with three card slots. Two slots will be dedicated to SIM card and the third one will be for a microSD. There have been various reports regarding the specifications of the smartphone. Gizbot reported that Redmi 5A is likely to come with a 5.5-inch HD 720p display and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS topped with MIUI 9.
The basic model will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage whereas the top model will presumably feature octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage.
Also, the base model will come with 16 MP and 5 MP cameras at the rear and front respectively whereas the high-end smartphone will have 16 MP sensors on both sides. The memory of the smartphone will expandable up to 128GB. According to TENAA, the handset will measure 153.3×76.3×7.31mm and the weight will be around 150 grams.
