WhatsApp free voice-calling has finally arrived for Windows Phone users. The calling feature introduced in version 2.12.60 will work on device running Window Phone 8 and above.
WhatsApp calling allow users to call other WhatsApp users for free. The new WhatsApp calling interface is similar to the regular call UI in Android smartphones. Call records are automatically saved. During a WhatsApp call, if the user gets a regular call on his smartphone, then the WhatsApp call runs in background for a few seconds and gets disconnected on its own.
WhatsApp calling arrived in April for Android users. After the initial excitement, the calling feature turned out to be a major disappointment with slow mobile Internet speeds in the country.
