Moto E 2nd generation coming to India on March 10, priced at Rs 6,999

Motorola is all set to launch its second generation of Moto E smartphone in India. The new Moto E (2nd gen) 3G variant will be launched on Flipkart at a price of Rs 6,999 on March 10. The company has sent out press teasers of the same.

In the new Moto E 3G version, the 5MP rear camera now has auto-focusing but doesn’t come with flash. It also comes with a VGA front-facing camera for taking selfies. The brand, which is now owned by Lenovo, recently showcased 4G LTE and 3G variants of its new Moto E smartphone.

The device sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, it runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB. It is powered by a bigger 2,390 mAh battery.

The price of the 4G version is $149.99, but there is no information on the launch of the 4G variant in India. The 4G variant runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit CPU.

Compared to the previous generation, the new Moto E has added front-facing VGA camera for selfies.
