Google Inc has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government for setting up one of the largest campus outside of the US and the first-ever own campus in the country with an estimated investment of Rs 1,000 crore. As per the MoU, Google is allocated 7.2 acres in Gachibowli, the main IT corridor of Hyderabad and Google will build its own facility. This facility for Google in Hyderabad, when fully built, will be one of the largest facility globally with a built-up space of about 2 million sq.ft and one of the largest campus for Google globally outside of the US.

“We have already transferred the required land to Google. According to the communique that we received, Google is expected to lay the foundation stone for its own centre in Hyderabad in the first quarter of next year,” Jayesh Ranjan, secretary of IT department, Telangana government, said.
