WhatsApp is bringing another update for its Android users. According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform will now bring new theme colors. This is applicable for both dark and light modes. Please note that the update is available only for WhatsApp Business users.

As of now the new update is available for some limited Beta users. Let’s have a look at how it’s going to change your WhatsApp experience.

WhatsApp rolls out new themes

The update is available to some beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program with version 2.24.24.30. WhatsApp Business aims to bring a new look with updated accent colors.  So, what do these new updates bring for you? For the dark theme, users will get white accents. Similarly, for the light theme, you can get black accents. Earlier the light theme only had a light blue accent.

The new update can bring a sleek and modern appearance in WhatsApp. This can eventually create a user friendly experience and enhance the user interface for the app. In addition to this, the WhatsApp Business logo has been updated. The logo now simply reads “WhatsApp” which was earlier showcased as “WA Business,”. This change can reflect the updated and minimalist design of the messaging platform.

Other updates

This is not the first time that WhatsApp has been working to improve its user experience. A few days back on November 22, the messaging platform came up with a new personalisation for its users. WhatsApp aims to bring a new update allowing you to mention group chats in your  status updates. Till now you could only mention one person. However, now it has been expanded to include a group of people. With the update you can mention an entire group in one single mention. You no longer need to mention each person in every different status.

Another initiative to personalise user experience includes the rolling out of camera shortcut. The new feature is currently available in its Android beta version 2.24.24.23. This version is now available through the Google Play Beta Program. As reported by WaBetaInfo, this update brings a new camera shortcut. This feature is designed to streamline the process of taking photos or videos directly from the gallery.
