Meta seems to have extended the video recording limit on the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, according to 9to5Google.
After Meta rolled out its Ray-Ban Meta AI with Vision, enabling you to get access to google search and seeing video & images and record videos, it became quite popular among the users. However, the video recording feature was limited, which is now expected to be extended with the new version 6.0.
Extend your video recordings
Ray-Ban Meta videos could only ever be recorded for up to a minute at a time with no option to extend that. As reported by Digital Trends, now the video recording feature extends up to 3 minutes, three times the previous recording limit of 60 seconds.
Reportedly, the new software version 6.0 is rolling out now to all Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses which brings several changes that were first announced at the end of May. The update includes support for Calm, Amazon Music, and more.
However, it looks like Meta didn’t previously announce that video recording would be made longer, explained Digital Trends.
How to use the new upgrade
Earlier, the built-in camera on the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses was one of the biggest reasons the product gained attention, but it’s always been a bit limited. Also the orientation was locked to vertical. So, how to change the default video length? Given below are the steps:
- From the Meta View app, tap in the bottom right.
- Tap Camera, or tap your glasses then tap Camera.
- Tap Video length.
- Tap the video length setting you want.
However, “We’re not seeing the same option after updating our unit to v6.0 this afternoon. It seems possible the update is rolling out through the iOS app first, or that this is a limited rollout at least,” 9to5Google explained further.
