Poco C65 India launch is set for December 15, the Xiaomi spin-off announced today. The Poco C65 was launched globally in November and shares its hardware with another Xiaomi phone launched not long ago, the Redmi 13C. And so, the question is, would it be the same thing in India as well. Most probably yes. The chances of the Poco C65 being a Flipkart-exclusive Redmi 13C at a bit more affordable pricing seem high, but we’ll see.
The Poco C65 sold globally has a 6.74-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a waterdrop-style notch. The panel can refresh at up to 90Hz per second and is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. It can top 600nits.
Under the hood, the Poco C65 has the MediaTek Helio G85 with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Running the show is MIUI 14 for Poco based on Android 13.
For photography, the Poco C65 has a dual camera setup on the rear with a 50-megapixel main camera and another 2-megapixel shooter for macros. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Powering the Poco C65 is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast USB Type-C charging baked-in. As per the official listing, Poco supplies a 10W charger in the box.
If all of this seems familiar, it’s because it’s the exacts same set of specs as the Redmi 13C 4G. Globally, the Poco C65 starts at $129 (roughly Rs 10,700) for its 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB option is priced at $149 (roughly Rs 12,400). The Redmi 13C 4G comes in a choice of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB for Rs 8,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,499 respectively.
