The OnePlus 15 could make a big change with regards to its design.

As we head into the last few months of 2025, the smartphone universe is preparing to bring next-generation Android flagships just ahead of the New Year. Qualcomm is expected to announce its next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip by November and soon after, a bunch of Android-based phone makers are going to come up with new phones that bring the benefits of that chip to the masses. The OnePlus 15 is expected to be one of those phones.

Coming in as the successor to the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus 15 is expected to bring notable jumps in all crucial aspects – performance, camera, battery stamina, and display. Wonder why no OnePlus 14? Count that as the Chinese considering the number ‘4’ to be unlucky – OnePlus wouldn’t want its flagship phone to be associated with unluckiness.

While OnePlus is yet to make any comment on that front, or even about any of its plans related to the OnePlus 15 yet, recent leaks and benchmark listings suggest this will be one of the most significant overhauls in the brand’s history, with major upgrades in design, performance, and battery life. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about the OnePlus 15.

OnePlus 15: A new look after years

One of the most notable changes is the rumoured design theme. Leaked renders point to a complete departure from the circular camera module seen on recent models like the OnePlus 13. The OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a new square-shaped camera island with rounded corners, positioned on the top left of the rear panel. This new aesthetic will be complemented by a range of premium finishes, with leaked color options including Black, Purple, and Titanium.

OnePlus 15: New cameras coming

The camera system itself is also slated for a major upgrade. Reports suggest the phone will feature a versatile triple-lens setup, likely consisting of a 50MP main sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a periscope-style telephoto unit. One leak suggests that the telephoto camera could get an incredibly high-resolution 200MP sensor, which could be a significant leap forward for long-range photography.

A key change, however, is the rumoured shift to an in-house imaging engine, which may signal the brand’s move away from its long-standing collaboration with Hasselblad. Will the in-house image engine make OnePlus phones a force to be reckoned with in the world of mobile photography?

OnePlus 15: Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is expected to be a true performance beast. The device is tipped to be one of the first to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, this chipset could allow the OnePlus 15 to handle the most demanding tasks with ease, from intensive gaming to heavy multitasking. OnePlus’s overhaul of OxygenOS could see the addition of new AI features borrowed from the latest Google Pixel 10 series devices.

Battery life appears to be a major focus, too. Leaks indicate a massive battery capacity of over 7,000mAh, which would make it one of the largest in a flagship smartphone. This huge battery is expected to be supported by a fast 100W wired charging solution, which could help with quick battery refills.

OnePlus 15: Miscellaneous features

The display on the OnePlus 15 is also set for an upgrade. Rumours point to a 6.78-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K pixel resolution and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. This panel would be a major leap for a OnePlus flagship phone, ensuring a fluid visual experience. Additionally, the phone is tipped to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. OnePlus could also bring an IP68 or IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, bringing it in line with other premium devices.

OnePlus 15 expected price in India

As far as expected prices are concerned, the OnePlus 15 could come in at a similar price point as the OnePlus 13. Hence, you can expect the base price to start from under Rs 70,000, with the top variant expected to be priced upwards of Rs 75,000.
