Rumours are swirling that the OnePlus 13 is set to debut in October, marking it as one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Until now, the device has been largely under wraps, with key specifications remaining a mystery. However, details are starting to emerge, shedding light on what to expect from this highly anticipated flagship.
Tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared insights on Weibo, detailing the OnePlus 13’s main camera, battery size, and charging capabilities.
Key features revealed
According to the latest leak, the OnePlus 13 will be equipped with the LYT-808 camera sensor, which has an f/1.6 aperture. This 50-megapixel primary camera mirrors the setup seen in the OnePlus 12. Additionally, the rear camera configuration is rumoured to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom.
Battery performance is expected to be a highlight of the OnePlus 13, with enhancements over the OnePlus 12’s 5,400mAh battery. The upcoming model will reportedly support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, similar to its predecessor.
The OnePlus 13 will also feature the O916T haptic motor for a tactile experience akin to the OnePlus 12. In terms of display, the device is expected to boast a 6.8-inch 8T LTPO OLED panel, designed with a micro-curvature on all four edges. It will deliver a stunning 2K resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. Security features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, further enhancing user convenience.
Moreover, the OnePlus 13 is anticipated to carry an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance, making it a durable option for various environments. It will come pre-installed with ColorOS 15, based on Android 14.
As for its global launch, details remain scarce. However, there are indications that a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant, dubbed the OnePlus 13R, could be introduced in international markets in January.
