The New York Times’ Connections puzzle is a popular daily word game that challenges you to find the common thread between groups of words. With 16 words and four groups to uncover, it’s a fun way to exercise your vocabulary and logic skills.

How to play NYT Connections?

To play, you’ll need to sort the 16 words into four groups of four. Each group has a hidden theme, and it’s your job to figure it out. Be careful, though! You only have four chances to guess, and each incorrect guess reduces your remaining attempts. The game uses a color-coding system to show you how difficult the connections are, so you’ll know which ones to tackle first.

Where to play NYT Connections?

You can play NYT Connections for free on The New York Times website or through their Games app. A new puzzle is released every day at midnight, so there’s always a fresh challenge waiting for you.

Tips to improve your guesses

If you’re struggling to find the connections, here’s a tip: start by identifying three words that seem to fit together, and then reconsider the fourth word if it doesn’t quite match. Once you’ve made a few connections, you can use them to help you solve the rest of the puzzle. Remember to be patient and consider all the possible associations between the words.

With new puzzles every day, NYT Connections is a great way to keep your mind sharp and have some fun.
