On the sidelines of the Phone 3 launch, Nothing, officially launched its inaugural over-head audio product, the Nothing Headphone 1. This new offering marks the company’s strategic expansion into the personal audio market, aiming to bring its unique blend of aesthetics and enhanced user experience to headphones.
The Headphone (1) is available in black and white colourways, with prices starting at Rs 21,999, day one price is rs 19,999. The product competes with premium audio gear offering from Sony, Sennheiser, JBL and Bose.
Nothing Headphone 1 specs and features at a glance
The Nothing Headphone 1 features unique button designs for easy function identification and maintains Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic, showcasing internal components. Its approximately 329-gram weight suggests a focus on lightweight durability for extended listening.
Aimed at the premium audio market, Headphone 1 promises to deliver exceptional sound quality, reportedly surpassing competitors like Apple’s AirPods Max. It features custom 40mm drivers and a notable collaboration with British audio company KEF, emphasising superior sound reproduction.
Headphone 1 integrates smart features for a seamless user experience, including Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual-device connection, wear detection, and a low-latency gaming mode. It also includes LED charging indicators, personalised sound profiles, and “Find My Device” support.
Battery life is impressive, with Nothing promising up to 80 hours of playback with noise cancellation off (AAC codec) and 35 hours with ANC on. LDAC streaming offers approximately 54 hours without ANC and 30 hours with it.
