The iPhone 17 series is just around the corner, and ahead of the mega launch, more leaks continue to emerge, thus leaving little to the imagination. We already have a fair idea of how the phones will look and what they will pack underneath. The replacement of the iPhone 16 Plus with a brand new iPhone 17 Air is expected to change Apple’s plans for the future of the iPhone, positioning it more as a lifestyle device.
Now, ahead of the ‘Awe-dropping’ event on September 9, the designs for the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup have reportedly been leaked by a phone case maker. Dbrand, a well-known company in the accessories market, has listed cases for all four expected models—the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max—on its website, effectively giving the public a first look at the new phones.
Dbrand cases leak iPhone 17 series
The leaked images reveal several design changes. The standard iPhone 17 is said to look very similar to its predecessor, i.e., the iPhone 16. The same vertically stacked camera module, along with the usual array of buttons.
However, the new iPhone 17 Air is shown with a unique single-camera module that stretches across the entire width of the device, a major design departure from previous models. The iPhone 17 Air is also shown to be extremely thin, thus doubling down on the rumours of a 5.5mm thin body.
The Pro models are also flaunting the rumoured new look. The iPhone 17 Pro’s leaked design shows an updated triple-camera setup, with the flash moved to the right side and the Apple logo positioned in a new lower spot. Both the Pro and Pro Max models are rumoured to feature a camera module made of aluminium with a glass bottom half, thus giving them a distinct and premium feel.
More iPhone 17 series details
In addition to the design leaks, there are also rumours about a significant RAM upgrade for the entire series. Market research firm TrendForce states that the iPhone 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max are expected to come with a hefty 12GB of RAM.
This would be a major leap, bringing the new iPhones on par with other flagship competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which also has a 12GB RAM variant. The base model iPhone 17, however, is expected to stick with 8GB of RAM.
