Apple took wraps off the iPhone 15 series at Apple “Wonderlust” and now all the latest iPhones are on sale. One notable improvement that Apple emphasized was Titanium chassis.

Something similar, or say, even worse last happened when iPhone 6 Plus failed the durability test. The last iPhone to fail durability was in 2014, infamous for the “BendGate” scandal, where it could bend in pockets or under force due to its weaker aluminium build.

Since that incident, Apple has enhanced iPhone build quality with materials like 7000 series aluminium, surgical-grade stainless steel, and Aerospace-grade Titanium for the iPhone 15 Pro series.

While it passes the scratch test, the device immediately cracks during the bend test with minimal pressure. The cracks occur at the back, including the camera island glass, showing a lack of pressure resistance in real-life scenarios.

Jerry concludes that the iPhone 15 Pro Max failed durability test and recommends a $200 Apple Store repair for cracked glass. Fortunately, the standard smaller iPhone 15 Pro passed the test without any defects or cracks.
