By now, Google Gemini’s ‘Nano Banana’ trend needs no introduction. In less than a week, this AI-generated stylised image trend has gone viral, captivating millions of social media users across the globe. Showcasing the image generation prowess of the Gemini AI model, Google’s Gemini team has been adding new prompts to demonstrate the image generation capabilities of the Gemini AI models. No wonder the Google Gemini app displaced ChatGPT as the number one AI app on Apple’s App Store!
With millions of users sharing their Nano Banana selfies and portraits on social media platforms like X, Instagram, and Facebook, the urge to be a part of the trend is irresistible. Be it 3D figurines or retro-styled images of self-portraits, the Google Flash 2.5 AI model can generate the most complex image prompts with ease. What’s even better is that these prompts are available for users via the free-to-download and use Google Gemini app.
Where to generate Google Gemini Nano Banana images?
There are two ways to create a Nano Banana AI image:
– You can use the Google Gemini app pre-installed on your Android phone to generate these images. Note that you can do it on the free version of the app – there’s no need for a pro version of Gemini.
– In case you have an older Android phone, you need to download the Google Gemini app from the Google Play Store.
– iPhone users also need to download the Google Gemini app from the App Store and login with their Google account.
– Additionally, Google Gemini Nano Banana images can also be generated via the Google AI Studio website, which can be accessed via any web browser.
How to create Google Gemini Nano Banana images
1. Compose a Command: Users must type a specific command or “prompt” to describe the kind of image they want to create. This prompt sets the scene, style, and mood for the AI to follow. Although Google is sharing the prompts via its social media channels, you can feel free to create your own, or alter the existing versions.
2. Upload the Photo: After composing the prompt, you can tap the ‘+’ icon within the Gemini app or Google AI Studio page to upload the personal image you wish to transform.
3. Generate the Image: With the prompt and photo in place, you tap the Enter button. The AI then processes the request, generating a new, unique image that combines the uploaded photo with the creative instructions from the prompt.
Some sample prompts include:
– “turn my pet into a plastic action figure next to its packaging”
– “Transform the subject into a vintage Bollywood heroine in a flowing yellow chiffon saree, hair styled in soft waves. The background should have a romantic, dramatic feel with warm tones, a minimalist design, and golden sunset light.”
– “Convert this individual into a 90s movie style, a black party saree, a grainy but vibrant vintage image… Lighting is warm, with golden sunset hues evoking golden hour glow… Her expression is moody, calm, yet slightly happy and introspective.”
– “Take a photo taken with a Polaroid camera. The photo should look like an ordinary photograph, without an explicit subject or property. The photo should have a slight blur and a consistent light source, like a flash from a dark room, scattered throughout the photo. Don’t change the face. Change the background behind those two people with cream curtains. Make it look like both the people in the reference picture are hugging each other.”
