Google has officially started selling the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in India from today, September 4, 2024. It is the company’s first foldable to launch in India. It is also the priciest Google Pixel smartphone to date. It joins the other Pixel phones, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL (Google is yet to announce availability details for the Pixel 9 Pro).

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes in sole 16GB/256GB variant for Rs 1,72,999. It comes in Obsidian (black) and is available from today on Flipkart.
Google has expanded Pixel phone availability with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro now also available offline from Croma and Reliance Retail. It remains unclear if the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be sold through brick-and-mortar stores anytime soon.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Full specs, top features
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is Google’s first foldable smartphone in India designed to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Vivo’s X Fold 3 Pro as also the relatively more affordable OnePlus Open.
The back of the phone is made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It has a smooth matte finish. The foldable is rated IPX8 for water resistance (no dust resistance).
Ergonomically speaking, it weighs 257 g and measures 10.5 mm when folded.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has an 8-inch 2076 x 2152p 120Hz LTPO OLED “Super Actua” flex display with peak brightness of 2700nits. The cover display is 6.3-inch 1080 x 2424 120Hz OLED “Actua” with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is powered by the Google Tensor G4 chip and has 16GB of RAM by default. Under the hood, it has a 4650 mAh battery with support for 45W wired and Qi wireless charging.
For photography, it has a triple rear camera setup which is a combination of 48 MP wide, 10.5 MP ultrawide with Macro Focus, and 10.8 MP 5x telephoto lens. On the inside, it has a 10MP camera.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold runs Android 14 and is eligible for seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.
