Google has rolled out free access to its Gemini AI Pro plan for students in India, waiving the usual subscription cost of Rs 1,950 per month or Rs 19,500 annually. This move opens up a host of advantages for students, such as expanded storage, AI-powered text-to-video tools, seamless Gemini integration, and more. Previously, only students in the U.S. were eligible for this complimentary offer.
Students who are 18 years or older can take advantage of this offer by signing up through Google’s official promotion page. Registration must be completed by September 15, 2025, to gain access.
“We’re already seeing students use the Gemini app for diverse use cases, from understanding complex topics and preparing for job interviews to sparking creative ideas. Our mission is to empower every student with the AI tools they need to advance their learning and unlock their creativity,” the company said in a statement.
The plan also includes 2 TB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos—plenty of space to store academic projects, media, and research, all securely backed up.
Students can visit the official offer page to learn more about eligibility and sign up. To claim the free one-year subscription, eligible students must complete their registration by September 15, 2025.
