Galaxy S25 upcoming specs
According to a promotional trailer, the Galaxy S25 will have a light blue Galaxy variant with a sleek design and glossy back. The video talks about “Morning Brief” feature which is part of Samsung’s new AI-driven suite. This tool aggregates important information from various apps, including weather updates, calendar events, and sleep data, particularly when paired with Galaxy wearables. This feature provides users with a tailored start to their day, offering key insights based on their preferences.
The Galaxy S25 series will additionally come with Google Gemini- an AI model integrated which can be activated by a long press of the power button in the Messages app. In the demo, Gemini is used to make a restaurant suggestion, illustrating its ability to process detailed commands with ease. The video also highlights Nightography, Samsung’s upgraded low-light video feature, which promises improved video quality in darker environments. It aims to provide better clarity and brightness in low-light settings.
There is Audio Eraser feature that tells how AI can analyse and isolate sounds in videos, such as voices, music, wind, and other noise categories, enabling users to remove unwanted sounds for clearer audio.
The 2025 Galaxy series will come with the new One UI 7.
Pricing leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
A new leak has shed light on the potential prices for the Galaxy S25 lineup in India, suggesting that the new series will be more expensive than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24. According to a leak from X (formerly Twitter) user Tarun Vats (@tarunvats33), the Galaxy S25 will see a noticeable price increase across all variants compared to last year’s models.
Samsung Galaxy S25: The base model, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is expected to be priced at Rs 84,999. The higher-end variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage could cost Rs 94,999. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 started at Rs 74,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant.
Samsung Galaxy S25+: The S25+ is rumored to start at Rs. 1,04,999 for the 12GB+256GB model, a slight increase from the Galaxy S24+’s starting price of Rs. 99,999. The 12GB+512GB variant could be priced at Rs. 1,14,999.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: The high-end S25 Ultra is expected to be priced at Rs 1,34,999 for the 12GB+256GB version. The 16GB+512GB variant may retail for Rs 1,44,999, while the top-tier 16GB+1TB model could carry a price tag of Rs 1,64,999. This represents a noticeable price jump from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which started at Rs 1,29,999 for the base 256GB model.
Why the price hike?
Several factors are likely contributing to this increase in price. The adoption of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, expected to power the Galaxy S25 series, is likely driving up the overall cost. This chipset promises significant performance improvements, which would justify a higher price point. Additionally, the inclusion of cutting-edge features like AI enhancements, camera upgrades, and other hardware improvements may also be reflected in the price.
