Smartphone brand Infinix is gearing up to bring quality gaming experiences to users across all price ranges, with a special focus on Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities. The company’s goal is to position itself as the top choice for the gaming community—aiming to be the very first smartphone that new gamers choose when they begin their journey, Anish Kapoor, CEO at Infinix India told Financial Express.

“We’ve previously launched smartphones priced around Rs 12,500 featuring powerful processors. Our mission is to deliver quality gaming experiences across all budget segments, with a special focus on Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities. For many in these regions, even a Rs 25,000–Rs 30,000 price point can be out of reach. That’s why we’re committed to supporting users from the moment they purchase their very first smartphone, creating an accessible and enjoyable gaming journey for everyone,” Anish mentioned.

According to Statista, the number of users in India’s mobile gaming market is expected to reach 260.1 million by 2029. User penetration is projected to grow from 15.1% in 2025 to 17.3% by 2029.

Globally, the United States is expected to generate the highest revenue in the mobile gaming sector, with projections reaching US$36.64 billion in 2025.

In India, the average revenue per user (ARPU) in the mobile gaming market is estimated to be US$1.85 in 2025. The sector is experiencing rapid growth, fueled by increasing smartphone adoption and a young population eager for interactive entertainment. In response to this surge, smartphone manufacturers are actively expanding their product portfolios to cater specifically to mobile gamers.

“Through remote gaming events, we’re giving aspiring players a real shot at entering the eSports arena. Our mission goes beyond entertainment; it’s about helping individuals find their place in the gaming world and demonstrating how gaming can become a legitimate career path. India is evolving, and gaming is no longer just a pastime—it’s becoming a serious opportunity. Many gamers come from challenging backgrounds, and for them, gaming has been a means of transformation and empowerment. We’re proud to be part of this cultural shift—and we aim to lead it. We’re not simply branding regular phones as “gaming” devices. We’ve started a revolution by designing true gaming smartphones—from integrated triggers to delivering a console-level experience and more.” Anish noted.

Speaking about what makes a great gaming phone, he emphasized that it’s not just about having a powerful chipset. While the company does use high-performance processors, true gaming performance requires much more—advanced control systems, efficient heat management, robust cooling mechanisms, fast charging, and ample storage. All these elements come together to deliver a seamless and immersive gaming experience.

The smartphone maker on Tuesday launched, the Infinix GT 30 Pro has been launched in India as the brand’s newest gaming phone aimed at the masses. Competing with a bunch of high-performance phones in the midrange segment, Infinix is offering a gamer-centric design with dedicated customisable RGB lighting – a feature that is unseen on anything other than Asus ROG Phone models.
